How primary care works
The same clinician, visit after visit.
Your first visit is about you: your history, your medications, what you want to stay on top of. From there your clinician keeps the thread, so you never start over.
Between visits, prescriptions are renewed, labs are ordered near you, and results are reviewed with you, not just posted.

FAQ
Common questions
How does primary care at MD Care work?
You book a video visit with a Florida-licensed clinician who reviews your history, current medications and goals, then agrees a plan with you. From there you stay in touch for check-ins, prescription renewals and lab work, without going back to square one each time.
What does a visit cost?
A video visit is $50 without insurance. If you use Medicare, you pay your plan's share, which is often less. A message-based visit, where one is appropriate, is $20. Renewing a medication an MD Care clinician already prescribed is $5. Lab work is billed separately by the lab.
Is there a membership?
No. There's no membership and no monthly fee. You pay for the visit you have, or use your Medicare benefits.
Will I see the same clinician each time?
For primary care, we keep you with the same clinician whenever we can, so you're not starting over at every visit. For urgent care, you'll see whoever is available soonest.
Can you manage an ongoing condition?
Yes. Conditions like high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol and thyroid conditions are a core part of primary care, including prescription renewals and regular check-ins.
Are you available on weekends and holidays?
Our scheduled hours are weekdays. We don't offer weekend or holiday appointments yet. If something can't wait, go to an urgent care centre, or call 911 for an emergency.
How fast can I get a prescription refill?
Same day. If you need more of a medication an MD Care clinician already prescribed and your clinician agrees it's appropriate, it goes to your pharmacy that day.
Can you order lab work?
Yes. Your clinician can order routine and specialty labs through Labcorp or Quest Diagnostics, so you can go wherever is convenient. The lab bills you directly, and Medicare often covers it.
What if I need to see a specialist or be seen in person?
Some things can't be handled by video. When that's the case, your clinician will tell you directly and refer you to in-person care.
Do you accept Medicare?
Yes. We accept Medicare for primary care and urgent care visits. Coverage depends on your plan, so we'll confirm your benefits before your visit.
What happens at my first primary care visit?
Your clinician reviews your health history, current medications and goals, then agrees a plan with you. Expect to talk for longer than a typical in-person appointment.
